Job Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Manager Location: Culver City, CA Industry: Healthcare Reports To: Controller Employment Type: Full-Time Position
Key Responsibilities:
? Manage all aspects of the accounts payable process, including invoice coding, approvals, batching, and payment processing in NetSuite
? Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialists or clerks
? Ensure timely month-end and year-end close activities related to AP
? Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
? Oversee vendor setup, maintenance, and 1099 reporting compliance
? Monitor aging reports and ensure prompt payment while optimizing cash flow
? Develop and implement AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to support organizational growth and compliance
? Collaborate with procurement and other internal departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
? Support audits (internal, external, and regulatory) by providing documentation and analysis as needed
? Identify and lead process improvement initiatives related to AP and NetSuite automation
? Stay up to date on healthcare industry regulations that may impact vendor payments or reporting
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
? 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
? Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is required
? Strong knowledge of GAAP and AP best practices
? Prior experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred
? Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
? Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
? Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and meet deadlines
